The election of Donald Trump as President of the United States has plunged the country into chaos and crisis, and left the rest of the world anxious. Our "Founding Fathers" created a remarkable and  resilient democracy, but it is under siege. As Americans, we cannot risk the take-over of our democratic processes and institutions by those who would use and abuse them for their own gain.

We can differ in our political perspectives, but our common goal should be the protection - and even the improvement - of the American experiment in democracy. This is our legacy, not only to future Americans, but to the global community.
